Background:

I received a Master of Arts in 2007 in Community Counseling after completing my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2004. My clinical work has centered around treating trauma in various populations and environments. I have been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and equine assisted psychotherapy. Currently I am seeking certification in trauma-focused equine assisted psychotherapy, global trauma perspectives, supporting the LGBTQIA+ community - specifically supporting transgender individuals and their families.

The majority of my clinical work over my 15-year career has centered on treating trauma and the secondary impacts it has on self-esteem, relationships, emotional experience, and daily life. I also treat depression, self-harming behaviors, anxiety, and individuals seeking support in personal relationships and family issues. I have experience with children and adolescents and have worked within multiple systems including foster care, community agencies, school systems, and the jail system.
