Dahlia Wellness is a therapy and wellness practice created to provide a brave, supportive space for individuals seeking safety to explore and grow in their mental health. My approach to therapy is grounded in genuine connection, empathy, and acceptance. Counseling focuses on clarifying goals, then integrating strengths and preferences with personalized and intentional interventions to move growth forward. Equine assisted psychotherapy is a clinical modality offered in person when appropriate.

I received a Master of Arts in 2007 in Community Counseling after completing my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2004. My clinical work has centered around treating trauma in various populations and environments. I have been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and equine assisted psychotherapy. Currently I am seeking certification in trauma-focused equine assisted psychotherapy, global trauma perspectives, supporting the LGBTQIA+ community - specifically supporting transgender individuals and their families.

I also treat depression, self-harming behaviors, anxiety, and individuals seeking support in personal relationships and family issues. I have experience with children and adolescents and have worked within multiple systems including foster care, community agencies, school systems, and the jail system.
