Introduction:

Working with teens is my pleasure, as a side hobby, I crochet, paint and am an insatiable reader.

Expertise: Gifted Teens, Adults and Families
Other Practice Areas:
  • ADHD
  • Body Image Issues
  • Career Counseling
  • Family Conflict
  • Loss or Grief
  • Transgender/Gender Identity
Background:

The majority of my research during graduate school explored the use of art in healing. I have since sought more depth in understanding treatment of trauma, attachment issues, and anxiety and depression as it relates to adolescents and their families. I have worked with children and families throughout my experience and accumulated skills and expertise in self harmful behavior and panic attacks. I am knowledgeable in several treatment types and specialized in utilizing art in therapy. My unique giftedness as a therapist is complemented by my faith and knowledge of scripture, should it be sought out as a part of treatment by the client.

If you are lonely and looking for friends who also value having healthy relationships and maxing out their life's potential, this is the group for you! College Age Girls Group is a supportive group of college age girls and two therapists who are all working together to get healthier and happier.
I (Emily) am a licensed clinical social worker and I specialize in helping you organize your thoughts and make the small changes that make a huge impact on your brain's health and happiness. Rebecca is a licensed marriage and family therapist and specializes in helping people have healthy relationships where they feel very secure and thrive.
College Age Girls Group is a committed group of girls who are being honest, learning to trust and learning to own their story. Your story may include grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, heartbreak or it may be pretty vanilla, and yet you'd love to be a part of a positive group of women who are genuinely invested in growing emotionally.
